- Payment Information (processed by Stripe — we store your plan and subscription status, not your card number)
- AI assistant chat transcripts
- Property addresses you search and the roof reports you generate
- Photos you upload (including Shingle ID photos), notes, documents, and door-knocking / canvassing records
- Feedback you provide, such as report ratings, votes, comments, and corrections
Non-Personal Data
We also collect data that does not identify you directly, such as:
- Browser Type
- Operating System
- Access Times
- Domain Names
- Feature usage and aggregate activity metrics
We may combine this information with data from our other services or third parties to enhance your user experience.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for various purposes including to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Rooftops AI
- Generate AI output — content you submit (such as photos, addresses, and prompts) is processed by third-party AI providers to produce reports, identifications, and chat responses
- Improve accuracy — ratings, corrections, community votes, and confirmed identifications help evaluate and improve our matching and report quality, and reports contribute to our aggregated property dataset
- Communicate with you regarding your account and transactions
- Update you on new features or products relevant to Rooftops AI and, unless you opt out, send storm alerts relevant to your service area
- Detect and prevent fraudulent activities
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except as specified in this policy or unless we inform you and offer an opt-out option.
Service Providers
We employ third-party service providers to:
- Handle payment processing (Stripe)
- Manage hosting, database, and cloud storage solutions
- Process content with AI models to generate the Service's output
- Provide mapping, imagery, and roof measurements (Google Maps and Google Solar)
- Deliver email
- Analyze usage trends and user behavior
These providers have access to your Personal Data only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it.
Your Team
If you join a team plan, the team owner and admins can see your seat status and your work activity inside the team dashboard (such as reports generated, door knocks, and pipeline metrics).
Community Features
Content you contribute to community features — such as Shingle ID photos, votes, and comments — is visible to other users of the Service.
Legal and Safety
We may disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
Cookies and Other Technologies
We utilize cookies, session tools, and analytics technologies (such as Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel) to gather information about your usage of Rooftops AI. These technologies allow us to:
- Understand user interactions and improve the usability of our platform
- Diagnose issues and optimize the performance of Rooftops AI

Emails and Opting Out
Transactional emails (receipts, team invitations, account and security notices) are part of the Service. Marketing and storm-alert emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time without affecting your account.

We have implemented robust security measures and protocols — including encrypted connections, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to safeguard your personal information. No system is perfectly secure; protect your credentials and notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may delete individual content in the app, and you may request full account deletion by emailing team@rooftops.ai. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained after deletion.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing (including rights under the CCPA for California residents). To exercise any of these rights, email team@rooftops.ai.
Business Transfer Clause
In the event that Mutter Voice, LLC, or a substantial portion of its assets, are acquired or if we go out of business, your information would be transferred to or acquired by a third party. The acquirer would be obligated to respect this Privacy Policy.
